Girl And The Society.

Girl And The Society. (through the eyes of a young girl)

As a young girl, today I want to speak on behalf of all the girls and women out there. Firstly, let me tell you what a girl has been told by families or the society-

1:You can’t handle a life on your own: Men are for fixing the situations and paying the bills, right?

Now I say this- Don’t let yourself be scared into a life you

don’t want because you think you can’t function on your own.

2: Skinny is healthy:

I say- People will often disguise a plight to influence weight loss behind “I just want you to be healthy and do what’s best for you.” Skinny does not always mean healthy.

3: Being beautiful is most important:

I say- Unfortunately in our society importance is given on physical appearance, however, it is not what you should be focusing on the most. If genuine, unconditional love, success, meaningful relationships and a purposeful life is what you’re after, realize that none of it will come from nice physical attributes.

decide what works for you, do not apologize for what you have not done, and do not let other people make celebrations a stressful time for you because of the expectations you are not “living up to.” Don’t let these age-old prejudices get you down. Either which way you roll the dice, if you are loved and you are loving, you are doing just fine. Letting somebody else give you your sense of worth is one of the worst things you can do to yourself. Trust me.

While men and women are born equal, gender inequality still persists in every society. The deep-rooted belief that women do not deserve equal treatment underpins violence against women and is used to deny girls and women fair access to education, health, employment, property and influence. There are signs of progress. During the lifetimes of the Elders, in almost every society and in every area, women are breaking down the barriers which have held them and their daughters back for so long.

We as a society of young girls has to be phenomenal women by building self-confidence and encouraging self-expression through beauty, promoting and maintaining a healthy lifestyle, developing financial awareness to produce a wealthy future, and advocating for others through global service.

I hope I have summed up what a girl power means to the society. Rather I would stress on saying, we are an important part of the society, we don’t have to fight for our rights. We are already having our own duties to look after and accept our responsibility and believe firmly that nobody can define our boundaries in this world, as God has already granted Us with the precious existence of ours and I believe that the world is beautiful because WE exist.
