Focus on the important things in life

It’s about cherishing your life and the time you’ve been given. Like my healthy thought says, life is to be lived and we should remember that next time we hold a grudge, go on like a drama queen or do something not worth our time. Although they say life is the longest thing you have- it goes all too quick.


It’s important to keep in mind that the world needs many different people with different types of strengths and interests in order to be as diverse as it is. You don’t necessarily need to be good at everything, just at what you consider important for yourself. Make every moment that you get worth it. Make your life something you will look happily back on. Something filled with experiences, emotions and challenges.


Imagine you could change one thing about your community. What would it be? Why? What do you think that shows about what's most important to you?

Consider how you respond in certain situations that require action, thought, and insight. Before doing anything more concrete, try to monitor your spontaneous reactions to experiences you've had in life already. Begin to ask yourself about the things you most enjoy in life. The areas that inspire and motivate you are typically where you are strongest. In reality, people really aren’t weak, even though we might really feel or think this way at times.

However, most people feel that they could be stronger in certain areas in their lives, their skill sets, and other areas. Since they feel they are not as strong in those areas, it’s common to assign the opposite to describe when we feel we need to work on an area to feel stronger and competent.


Taking some time to identify your values will help you decide whether aspects of your life are strengths or weaknesses to you, regardless of what others may feel about them. Weaknesses are not permanent aspects of ourselves, but instead are changeable aspects of how we do things so we can become even more excellent. Acknowledge that mistakes are part of learning and growth and allow yourself to make them as you develop yourself.


What seem like strengths to one person, moreover, might not necessarily seem that useful to others, which can make figuring out whether specific qualities you possess are strengths as opposed to weaknesses confusing or frustrating. Self-knowledge is a powerful tool that too many people disregard because it's difficult or inconvenient, or perhaps because it makes them feel uncomfortable. Oftentimes, areas for growth are framed in terms of "learning lessons from life" and not repeating mistakes. Other times, it's about making the effort to overcome a lack of skills you perceive in yourself.


Focus on how you currently see your own strengths and weaknesses based on what you're doing in your life right now, both personal and professional, rather than looking to the past or to your desires. Remember, no one is grading you or judging you based on your responses, so be honest with yourself.

Take care not to become hung up on your weaknesses. This pattern can quickly fall into the non-constructive pattern of perfectionism, which can actually hold you back from success. It’s better to begin with what you do well for a given skill set, then find several details to enhance those skills and slowly improve over time.


Everything in life is temporary. It’s an odd way to look at it- knowing we can’t be this happy forever, which is kind of sad in a way; but that we won’t always feel this crappy forever either- which is hopeful! I guess that’s life and all part of being human.


We already know that the down times don’t last forever, but I guess it’s just a little reminder that good times will soon follow those cruddy days. I think that’s why it’s so important to not give up during those down times. They may seem like the end of the world or that they will become a constant reality.

ings are temporary is also a BIG reminder that we have to live every moment– experience it, embrace it, live it and love it!


No matter what you want shoot or aim higher. You still may not achieve what you want with the first shot, but you’ll be amazed at what you did achieve and how high you actually got. It doesn’t matter what it is either. Have belief and shoot higher than you ever believed you could reach. Nothing is impossible if you will only believe. If you can’t commit to something then don’t. If anything, by being honest and kind when speaking to or about others, you will gain the respect of others. You are the only person that can limit yourself. Others cannot put limitations on you. Others cannot hold you back. The beliefs of others do not translate into what you can or cannot do. Only you can put limitations on yourself. And why would you want to do that.


The sky is the limit and beyond. Believe in yourself. Believe in your abilities. Believe that you can do anything, and you can.

Because it’s your life and your moments - cherish the good stuff and work through the rest!!!
